WEST HAM have completed the £36.4million signing of Brazil international Lucas Paqueta in a deal that rises to £51million.
The midfielder, who arrives from French club Lyon, is David Moyes’ eighth signing in a busy summer at the London Stadium.
He has signed a five-year contract with an option for a further year.
Paqueta, 25, faced the Hammers when they knocked Lyon out of the Europa League last season and has long been a target for Prem clubs – with Arsenal keen in recent years.
The deal, including add-ons, could grow to as much as £51million in the coming years.
Former AC Milan player Paqueta will wear the number 11 shirt for West Ham.
Paqueta told West Ham’s website: “I’m delighted to be here.
“I hope it is the beginning of a pleasant journey.
“I hope that my time here is successful.
“Last season West Ham had a very good season and I hope they will enjoy more and more good seasons during my time at the club.

“I’m looking forward to putting on the West Ham shirt and showing the fans what I can do to help my team-mates and the club.”
Moyes added: “He’s a player I’ve admired from afar for a long time.
“And of course we saw him up close in our Europa League season last season.
“He is a very talented footballer and although he will need time to adjust to the Premier League we are delighted to add another proven international to our squad.”
The Hammers clinched their first points and first goal of the season with a 1-0 win at Aston Villa on Sunday.
