Wendy Williams is buying a $100 million podcast, though a rambling new interview has fans fearing for their sanity

WENDY Williams is buying a podcast with hopes of a $100m payday despite a rambling new interview that has left fans fearful for their sanity.

Multiple sources revealed to The Sun that Wendy, 57, has had podcast deals on the table for months, but one source suggested iHeart Radio and Spotify are being eyed as potential new homes for her eponymous talk show brand.

The former daytime diva would return to her radio roots if a deal goes through, as Wendy Watchers knows her first experience was as a New York radio DJ.

As a source close to Wendy explained, “She sees Joe Rogan has a $100 million podcast deal and now she wants that kind of money.”

After taking a leave of absence from her daytime talk show of the same name, Wendy has been a tough sell, the insider claimed.

“The people at iHeart don’t like controversy, so Spotify is the best place for them. They like the wild cards, but even on Spotify, they won’t give you money unless you prove yourself first, and Wendy wants money up front. ”

The other problem, the source added, is that industry insiders just don’t know if she “can be trusted to deliver a daily or weekly show.”

Over the weekend, fans expressed concern after Wendy appeared in a rambling live Instagram interview with rapper Fat Joe.

Joe, who was one of several rotating guest hosts in Wendy’s absence, asked her why she wasn’t The Wendy Williams Show anymore, to which she replied it was because “someone stopped giving me my money.”

As The Sun was the first to exclusively reveal, Wendy is suing her bank, Wells Fargo, after her accounts were frozen in January this year, as the bank claimed there were concerns of “financial exploitation, dementia or improper influence”. the petition

While Wendy is still fighting with the bank for control of her accounts, she wasn’t on her daytime talk show for several months prior to the falling out with the famous bank.

Wendy’s loss of her TV show and her fight with Wells Fargo Bank don’t appear to be connected.

Another source close to Wendy told The Sun that while there are podcast deals on the table, she insists she wants her TV show back.

Joe asked Wendy about her replacement, Sherri Shepherd, to whom she said: “I’m not going to watch her because I know what she’s going to do and that’s really not my thing.

“You know what I’m saying anyway, but I love being on my own show and I love that people love to watch it. You know, all the time.”

Following the interview, her fans took to social media to share their concerns, with one writing on YouTube: “I really feel for her. I think she shouldn’t have been interviewed yet. I hope and pray things will get better.”

Another added: “Honestly this has been tremendously painful to watch, try to get through, follow and understand.”

WHERE IS WENDY?

Wendy returned to her swanky New York penthouse last month after spending several months with her family in Florida recovering from various health issues.

In exclusive photos previously obtained by The Sun, Wendy appeared to be in good spirits as she made her way through the torrential rain to her waiting car outside her apartment in early April.

The former TV star is fighting for control of her and her estate in a brutal New York court case.

Wendy is at odds with her former manager Bernie Young, 75, who is trying to gain control of the star, her estate and affairs through a guardianship process.

Additionally, the TV personality is also embroiled in a fight to gain access to her Wells Fargo bank accounts which are said to be holding millions of dollars.

Wendy had spent much of the beginning of the year in Florida recovering from her health problems, surrounded by her family.

Sources claim that there are several people in Wendy’s orbit who may also be contending for guardianship, but that those close to the star don’t feel it necessary.

“Nobody in her family feels like she needs guardianship, they believe she’s capable of running her own life,” a source claimed.

Additionally, Wendy’s son, Kevin Jr., 21, has power of attorney over his mother, The Sun previously reported, but is also not applying for guardianship, according to the insider, who added that neither he nor his mother believe one is necessary.
