‘We want the fight’ – Anthony Joshua is ready for December’s fight against Tyson Fury while Eddie Hearn holds talks over contracts

Joshua publicly accepted the offer, prompting Hearn to speak to Fury’s representatives last night.
During an appearance on talkSPORT, he said: “I had a chat with Queensberry’s George Warren last night [Promotions].
I’d really like to get upset about that because I think it’s the fight I get stopped for on the street more than any fight that could be made.
“It’s a fight that AJ has wanted for a long time.
“Don’t forget that we signed for this fight last year before arbitration forced Deontay Wilder to fight for Tyson Fury.
“It’s interesting because he retired last week, then he just came back to fight Usyk, then he made an offer to Derek Chisora, then he wanted half a billion, then he pulled out again, then he fought Usyk in December and now he’s fighting AJ.
“The message from AJ is very clear: we don’t want any back and forth, we want the fight.”
Fury and Joshua were set to fight last year after agreeing a blockbuster two-fight deal in March 2020.
