AJAX’s technical boss admits the Dutch giants fear it will be difficult to stop manager Erik ten Hag from taking over Manchester United.
Gerry Hamstra says Ajax “know how the world works” after Ten Hag emerged as favorites to be Old Trafford boss in the summer.

Hamstra is realistic but insists the Dutchman stays focused on his current job.
The technical manager told Voetbal International: “It would be fantastic if he stayed on as Ajax coach next season as well.
“He’s still under contract at Ajax, but we all know how the world works.
“Erik is a professional and is self-focused on this season, the important months when awards are given out.

“The future will tell but it is clear that Erik is very important for Ajax.”
Ten Hag has reportedly been interviewed by United as they search for a permanent replacement for interim manager Ralf Rangnick.
And SunSport revealed last week that the 52-year-old has tightened his grip on pole position.
Dossiers for all candidates were created and evaluated.

And the former Bayern Munich reserve coach easily prevailed – ahead of PSG’s former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Chelsea’s Thomas Tuchel catapulted into the competition this month.
But he now appears to be at the bottom of the list as the Red Devils fear the turmoil surrounding the Blues’ takeover bids could continue well into the summer.
