‘We don’t trust Fury’ – Eddie Hearn reveals why Anthony Joshua turned down Tyson Fury’s £15m aside offer

EDDIE HEARN claims Anthony Joshua’s plan to cast aside failed because Tyson Fury could not be trusted.
Joshua heavyweight, 32 years old, is reluctantly avoid a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk to let Ukraine’s WBA, IBF and WBO champion challenge Fury33 years old, won the WBC belt.

AJ .’s promoter Eddie Hearn, who also oversees WBC Mandatory Dillian Whyte, said: “We don’t trust Fury to fight one, let alone agree to two, three or four.
“AJ didn’t want to step aside and when Fury asked for a fight in March, he really didn’t want to step aside.
“We have to trust Fury to fight in March, then Usyk in June, AJ in December, then Dillian.
“I had to tell AJ that and he couldn’t trust him.”
Anger insists the plan went through because AJ wanted a separate £15m fee raised to £20m.

But Hearn says the amount only changed when Team Fury moved the goalposts by requesting a March adjustment.
Fury and Whyte, 33 years old, now set to meet in April, followed by a Joshua rematch by Usyk, 35.
But Hearn added: “Based on his record alone, I wouldn’t be surprised if Tyson pulled out.
“Tyson wouldn’t have fought Usyk without a warm-up fight.
“He just fought Deontay Wilder, what does he need to boot up for? ”
