‘We Are Lady Parts’ Renewed for Season 2 at Peacock

Get ready to do some celebratory headbutting, because We Are Lady Spare Parts is coming back.
Peacock announced Monday that it has renewed the comedy series for a second season, will air on Channel 4 in the UK
“We Are Lady Spare Parts exploded onto the screen and entered our hearts with its careless humour, unique storytelling and boundary-pushing comedy,” said Lisa Katz, president of scripted content for NBCUniversal. “We are incredibly proud that this fan-favorite series has been heralded as the breakthrough for Muslim representation on TV, and we can’t wait to continue this journey with the creator. visionary creator Nida Manzoor and this beloved band.”
Manzoor, who is also a writer and director, added, “I feel extremely fortunate and delighted to have had the opportunity to make the second series of the series. We Are Lady Spare Parts. I can’t wait to dig deeper into the world of the band and dive deeper into their lives. Expect more high clicks, more music, and more exciting flights. SPARTA! ”
Based on Manzoor’s own life, We Are Lady Spare Parts stars Anjana Vasan as Amina, a sassy doctoral student (and a gifted but extremely shy musician) who fails to become the lead guitarist for a girl punk band Islam is called Lady Parts. The cast also includes Sarah Kameela Impey as Saira, Lucie Shorthouse as Momtaz, Faith Omole as Bisma and Juliette Motamed as Ayesha.
