Chelsea target Wesley Fofana appears to have said goodbye to Leicester.

The France defender has been heavily linked with an £80million move to Chelsea.

The Foxes went down 4-2 in the Emirates after a stunning brace from Gabriel Jesus.

Fofana, 21, could do little against the Brazilian’s brilliance as he scored twice in the first half.

Or goals from Granit Xhaka and Gabriel Martinelli in the second half.

James Maddison scored for Leicester and contributed to a William Saliba own goal but Arsenal were simply too much on the day.

Brendan Rodgers has insisted Fofana won’t go cheap after admitting the club already have KO offers from Chelsea.

However, Blues boss Thomas Tuchel is widely expected to get his man when he comes back with a fee in the region of £80million.

They have reportedly agreed terms with the player himself but the clubs are still working towards an agreement.

Chelsea already signed Kalidou Koulibaly for £35m this summer but lost Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.

Tuchel is known for playing with three in defence, so he needs to be better equipped in the center half.

Fofana joined the Foxes from Saint-Etienne in October 2020 but suffered a broken leg last August.
