[Watch] Virat Kohli throws his wicket play again in India vs South Africa test 1st time

The second in the ongoing Centurion Test with South Africa, and the twelfth in recent memory, the Indian Test captain Virat kohli lost his badge while driving rashly outside his tree on Wednesday.

Like in the first innings, he looked solid with the 31 balls he faced before breaking out. Kohli was hit a few times, but all of them looked rather cautious and in control.

However, on the first ball after Lunch, the player is left-handed Marco Jansen Give him a full and wide delivery that just disappears in angle. Kohli went to a radiant drive, failed to control it and ignored the advantage. He had to go back to an overwhelming 18 (32) position. Here is a video of wicket:

Perhaps it was Kohli’s way to squeeze the scoring rate as when the rain drizzled on Day 4, India needed to make an announcement soon. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that he went out the same way – by trying to hit the balls he should have left.

Rahane, Pujara join Kohli in the dressing room

Kohli left India on April 79, with a 209-run lead. His former deputy, Ajinkya Rahane, join Cheteshwar Pujara and continue what Kohli is trying to do.

He hit a four on the first finish he faced and continued it with two touchlines and a six with Jansen, throwing short balls around the park. But the young tempo came back strong the next time around and forced Rahane to misplace a hook to the square foot behind.

Before that, Pujara was also unafraid to play loose serves with confidence, with Jansen once again conceding two goals at the hands of India’s No 3. But he lost his wicket in a pattern that was neither distinctive nor lucky – a thin ledge in an attempt to land a wide-footed shot was easily taken by the wicket holder.

India will feel comfortable having a lead above 280 but for that to happen, Rishabh Pant and Ravichandran Ashwin will have to find the right balance between attack and defence.
