THIS is the brilliant moment Lewis Hamilton passed TWO rivals in one go at the Italian Grand Prix.
And it was so impressive that even rival Max Verstappen was blown away to see it.
Hamilton, 37, secured a fifth place finish in Sunday’s race at Monza.
And this despite the fact that I started from 19th place and was also damaged by debris on the first lap.
The climax of Hamilton’s terrific race came on lap 36 when McLaren’s Lando Norris emerged from the pit lane.
He was immediately engaged in a fight with AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly.
But Hamilton, who was ninth at the time, quickly caught up with the pair.
He then found a better line of traction out of the first chicane to slip past both rivals into seventh place.
Hamilton’s soft tires then allowed him to pull away before finally passing McLaren’s Daniel Ricciardo and Red Bull’s Sergio Perez.
After the race, winner Verstappen and Hamilton’s teammate George Russell – who finished third – both watched replays while awaiting the trophy presentation.
A clip of Hamilton’s double overtake surfaced, forcing Verstappen to point it out excitedly.
Russell quickly took in the action before exclaiming, “Oh wow!”
After the race, Hamilton expressed his delight at reclaiming fifth place from the back of the grid.
He explained: “It was a good race, I didn’t expect (the result).
“The guys said anything between six and four is possible, that always feels like a stretch to me but I had fun.
“It was difficult at the beginning with the heavy car and behind everyone as I tried to avoid a collision in the first corner and ended up getting stuck behind an AlphaTauri again.
“But I’m really grateful that I came through and got those points.
“In the end the two guys behind had fresher tires so I’m kinda glad it ended the way it went.”
