ACCRINGTON missed a penalty in the 89th minute yesterday, after a Rotherham fan sent the ball wide of the post.
Harry Pell was lining up to take a positional free-kick for Stanley, who led 1-0 in the final game.
However, when he did so, a young person Rotherham Fans run into the field.
Before he could be arrested, he executed the ball from a distance, before appearing to swoop in and make contact with Pell.
The Accrington midfielder was furious and initially chased after the fan before being held back.
The fan was eventually caught by a Rotherham star and sent off the field, before Pell was finally awarded a penalty.
However, his spot kick was tamed and saved by Millers goalkeeper Josh Vickers.
The ten Rotherhams went on to win 1-0, extending the top of the table to six points in the process.

After the game, a club statement read: “We are embarrassed to once again comment on the behavior of some fans, who are absolutely not representative of the majority or what they are. I represent a club.”
Rotherham confirmed that two fans were banned for their conduct at yesterday’s match.
Accrington boss John Coleman said: “It’s one of those situations where Pelly is desperate to make it because he has also been assaulted.
“Is that the right thing to do? It’s easy to be wise after the event. He had no intention of missing the penalty.
“I feel physically exhausted. I’m beaten and I have nothing to give. I can’t fight back. I can’t criticize. I’m proud of the way the players played today.”
