LEE WESTWOOD lost faith after Santiago Tarrio made a BACKWARDS at the Abu Dhabi Golf Championships.
And despite the Spaniard finishing in the T68 final over the weekend, he clearly impressed Westwood with an epic bunker shot.
While on the 17th par three on the final day of play, Tarrio could only tee off into the right bunker of the green.
But what happened next no one could believe, as the 31-year-old Spaniard lined up to run out of the bunker to face FAR from hole.
And he took the shot perfectly, slamming the ball into the air and going backwards, to land a few yards from the hole.
Westwood was so stunned he reposted the footage above Twitterwrote: “So impressive @santi_tarrio!!!”
And another fan can be heard admiring, “Oh my god!”
Tarrio was also very proud of his effort, raising his arms, nodding to the crowd and crouching in front of them after performing a ridiculous chip shot.

Meanwhile, another amazed onlooker exclaimed on social media: “Unbelievable to do this for an entire round!”
And another person summed it up perfectly by simply writing: “This is awesome.”
However, Tarrio’s joy was short-lived when he MISS close range header for a cross after a great setup.
It summed up a nasty weekend for World No87, who finished on 7+.
Although the spectacular trick shot did not mean he ended the tournament on some high level.
Three-time Masters winner Phil Mickleson has also used the same technique before, as described by golf.com as the ‘innovator’ of the bunker backfire.
