Watch: “Never Be Personal”

Shaquille O’Neal, Dwyane WadeCandace Parker and Adam Lefkoe are back for another episode of NBA on TNT to talk about all things basketball. Well, pretty much “everything” as the show incorporated the so-called TNT Tuesday Confessional. This segment is aimed at a softer side of the dynamics between the four co-hosts.

In the latest edition of Tuesday’s Talk Contest, Adam Lefkoe mocked Dwyane Wade, referring to the number 9 he gave to Aaron Gordon during the infamous Slam Dunk Contest 2020. Athletes took another blow to Wade, calling him “almost a LeBron” after the retired Miami Heat star belittled Lefkoe’s distinctive turtlenecks.

Shaquille O’Neal, despite Lefkoe’s apparent attempt to come up with something humorous, half-jokingly offered him some advice:

“Listen. There’s a rule. Okay? … All of us [Shaq, Parker and Wade] here comes the G-14 classification. You are the visitor in the studio. Never become personal… He never said anything about you… You became individual. Engineering fouls you!!! “

Hailing from Shaquille O’Neal, Lefkoe was clearly trying not to laugh. Shaq is best known for his frequent debates with fellow Hall-of-Famer and Inside the NBA co-host Charles Barkley. Compared to what the LA Lakers legend and “Sir Charles” always throw at each other, Lefkoe’s trolling seems more amateurish.

Shaquille O’Neal and Adam Lefkoe keep going back and forth after the Phoenix Suns’ win over the Brooklyn Nets. The Suns have just had their 11th game in a row and have the best record in the NBA. Despite their hot form, neither of them Devin Booker Nor did Chris Paul appear as the starters for the lavish mid-year rally.

“Black Superman” asked the Phoenix Suns’ sore-eyed guard if he feels respected this season. Booker’s rebuttal put the NBA home team against TNT in the spotlight:

“I heard someone in the studio tonight say I won’t have 30 tonight either! A little bird told me that, but you know what about me. Who said that up there?”

Shaquille O’Neal quickly and easily blamed Adam Lefkoe when it was Dwyane Wade who challenged Booker. The chemistry between the four hosts is fast emerging, and the basketball world can look forward to more high-quality basketball chats and conversations from this quartet.
