LIONEL MESSI scored his first Ligue 1 goal since November when Paris Saint-Germain beat champions Lille 5-1.
The Argentine superstar, 34, made a nonchalant cut to put the capital’s side up 3-1 before half-time.
The game also marks Messi’s first match in Ligue 1 since December after he tested positive for coronavirus during the Christmas break.
However, the veteran showed no signs of hurry as he starred in the journey at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
Lille scored PSG to the title of last season only by a single point.
However, Mauricio Pochettino’s men took their revenge with an away game.
Danilo Pereira opened the scoring for PSG after just 10 minutes.
But Sven Botman, who was heavily linked with Newcastle in January, leveled things in the 28th minute.
However, Lille’s lead came only for a moment as Presnel Kimpembe put PSG ahead.

Messi then wowed fans with his cheeky chipping seven minutes after the break.
Neymar’s brilliant dribble was blocked by Botman, but his shot went straight into Messi’s pass.
The soccer icon then made a tap to put himself on goal before using his left foot to subtly slam the ball past what Lille goalkeeper Ivo Grbic was facing.
Messi’s goal helped PSG fully control the time of the half.
And things got even better after the break when Pereira scored the second goal of the game in the 51st minute.
Kylian Mbappe, who could leave on a free transfer this summer, had the final goal of the game to make it 5-1 in the 67th minute.
The result leaves PSG at the top of the Ligue 1 table – THIRTEEN has a point ahead of the nearest opponent, Marseille.
As for the defenders of the Lille title, they are still in 11th place – 24 points behind Messi and Co.
