Watch Cristiano Ronaldo score his first free-kick in THREE YEARS from 30 yards to spark Al Nassr’s incredible comeback win

His Old Trafford free-kick against Portsmouth was particularly memorable, but his dead-ball skills have waned in recent seasons.

The day before yesterday he scored his last free-kick goal while playing for Juventus in July 2020.

Ronaldo, then wearing a topknot, fired a free-kick into the back net in Juve’s 4-1 win over local rivals Torino.

It would be his only free-kick goal during his time in Italy.

He finally broke his duck yesterday, and he chose an opportune moment to do it.

Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr was 1-0 at home behind Abha in the 78th minute when they won a free-kick 30 yards from goal.

Undeterred by his lack of set-piece successes in recent years, Ronaldo stood above it in his typical stance.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner duly hammered his shot into the net.

He didn’t seem like a man to take his last payday as he celebrated his decisive equalizer passionately – screaming in excitement and raising his fists at the crowd.

Abha was reduced to ten men just two minutes later and Anderson Talisca completed Al-Nassr’s comeback in the 86th minute.

The win kept Al-Nassr within a point of leaders Al-Ittihad at the top of the Saudi Pro League.

Ronaldo’s title rivals are managed by ex-Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo – and they continued their glittering run yesterday with a 5-1 win at Al Fateh.
