Watch Chelsea newcomer Andrey Santos score again for Brazil as he proves at least one Boehly signing can find the goal

CHELSEA new signing Andrey Santos has scored again for Brazil U20 and continues to prove his worth following his January move to Stamford Bridge.

The 18-year-old central midfielder was one of several Blues signings in the January window, arriving from Vasco da Gama for £18million.

But he has yet to join the rest of Graham Potter’s bloated squad as he currently represents Brazil at the South America U20 Championship.

Santos, who wears the age-group captain’s armband, has already scored five goals in the competition.

That included one in their last game on Friday, when they beat Venezuela 3-0.

In added time late in the game, the Chelsea man charged at a loose ball after Venezuela failed to handle a long throw.

And Santos fired past keeper Frankarlos Cruz Benitez Gutierrez to continue his sensational scoring streak in every game he has played at the tournament.

He has scored against Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela.

Santos was rested for the other game against Paraguay.

He’s hoping for first-team minutes when he eventually arrives at Stamford Bridge.

And Jorginho’s departure will see him move up the pecking order in Potter’s roster.

However, Santos will face stiff competition at the London club due to Todd Boehly’s £600million spending spree since the summer.

Midfielders Enzo Fernandez, David Datro Fofana, Carney Chukwuemeka and Denis Zakaria have all come through the door since Boehly’s acquisition nine months ago.

They also have Conor Gallagher and Mason Mount available to play in the middle of the park.

Potter is still waiting for a host of midfield options to return from injury, including N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
