HOLLYWOOD star Ryan Reynolds finally witnessed a Wrexham victory in person when the actor and football owner invaded the pitch at the end of their game against Stockport.
Striker Paul Mullin scored an injury-time brace to give Wrexham a dramatic 2-0 win in the FA Trophy semi-finals and end Stockport’s 21-game unbeaten streak.
They will now face Bromley in the final as they return to Wembley for the first time since 2015.
And Reynolds gushed about being there for a third Wrexham win, having previously seen them lose and draw.
He took over in February 2021 alongside fellow actor Rob McElhenney.
Match-winner Mullin, who has scored 19 goals in 29 games since arriving from Cambridge United from League One, was their first signing as the club’s owner and Reynolds sprinted straight to him when the final whistle blew.
The pair embraced in front of Wrexham fans as chants of “There’s only one Ryan Reynolds” rang out on the Racecourse Ground.
Reynolds then took to Twitter after the win, adding: “Seeing that in person was a top ten life moment for me. Thank you Wrexham.”
Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson said of the game: “There was a bit of nervousness in the first half and some uncharacteristic errors by both sides, but the stakes were high.
“But I thought we grew into the game and had some really good chances to take the lead and didn’t take them.

“But with Mulls on the pitch, you always think you’re going to score.”
Wrexham is now hoping to win a silver at Wembley while also focusing on his return to the Football League.
The club have not been in the second tier since 2008 but currently sit third in the National League.
Their placement in the league would see them into the play-off semi-finals – while automatic promotion looks unlikely as they are still 11 points behind runaway leaders Stockport.
