A video posted online showed a Napoli official trying to pass a stack of shirts, but the shirts were soon returned.

It followed after Ajax were caught at home by the Italian giants in the Champions League group stage.

Mohammed Kudus opened the scoring for the Dutch, but the tie was soon turned on its head.

Goals from Giacomo Raspadori, Giovanni Di Lorenzo and Piotr Zielinski gave Napoli a 3-1 lead at half-time.

And Raspadori, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Giovanni Simeone rounded off the percussion.

Luciano Spalletti’s Napoli are at the top of their group after also beating Liverpool and Rangers.

Spalletti said: “When you go into a stadium like that, with that roar there, it’s not easy to immediately regain the conviction of how to press and recover from being behind.

“It could have bothered us a lot, but the team did the things they had to do.

“They never let themselves be influenced and won a great match.

“[My players] go really strong, they motivate each other and that makes everything easier.
