Watch Argentina goalkeeper Emi Martinez demand a minute’s silence for Mbappe during wild World Cup celebrations

Martinez, 30, made a crucial, spectacular save from Randal Kolo Muani in the closing seconds of overtime.
And he made himself a hero to his compatriots during the penalty shootout, knocking out Kingsley Coman and Aurelien Tchouameni as his side won 4-2 on penalties.
The Aston Villa keeper was cautioned for unsportsmanlike conduct for throwing the ball away before Tchouameni’s penalty, but after getting his hands on the trophy, he didn’t give a damn.
The Argentinian stars took part in wild dressing room celebrations after the game, recorded by the likes of Sergio Aguero.
In one clip, Martinez and co are said to have jokingly asked for a minute’s silence while attending a conga with his buddies.
The stopper and his teammates sang in Spanish, “A minute of silence.”
Martinez silenced his friends before continuing: “For Mbappe who is dead!”
The victorious Argentinian stars then continued to dance and sing.

Amid the celebrations, a star was caught on camera doing a sensational somersault into a trash can.
Much more singing and dancing ensued, with tournament sponsor Budweiser leaving plenty of beer bottles for the team.
Lionel Messi then made a sensational return to the dressing room, holding the World Cup trophy himself, climbing onto the table and jumping up and down on it.
Boss Lionel Scaloni then arrived in a retro Argentine jersey and was promptly drenched by his players.
Messi just had to go head-to-head with his pal Kylian Mbappe to come out on top in this classic encounter.
The 35-year-old got his side off to a perfect start in the 23rd minute, pocketing a penalty awarded to Angel Di Maria after a slight push from Ousmane Dembele.
He was involved in his team’s second goal 13 minutes later, his flick setting up a brilliant counterattack that made Di Maria 2-0.
It looked like Argentina would claim victory from that point but Mbappe had other ideas.

His quick late double sent the game into extra time where Messi put his side ahead again.
But once again, Mbappe equalized before Martinez’s antics helped Argentina win the ensuing penalty shootout.
