Watch angry Edinson Cavani PUNCH tunnel VAR monitor after Uruguay denied late penalty in heartbreaking World Cup elimination

EDINSON CAVANI beat the VAR monitor in the tunnel after being denied a late penalty as Uruguay were knocked out of the World Cup.
The South Americans defeated Ghana 2-0 in their last game of Group H, which for a long time looked like enough to earn them a place in the last 16.

But in injury time at the end of the other game in the group, South Korea scored a dramatic late winner to beat Portugal 2-1 and overtake Uruguay.
The news got back to Diego Alonso’s side as they headed into eight minutes of added time.
They then knew they would go out with goals scored unless they found another goal.
And Valencia striker Cavani, 35, thought he deserved his side a penalty when Seidu Alidu cut his leg in the box.
But referee Daniel Siebert dismissed the protests and the VAR thought it was the right decision.
Uruguay were outraged but then had to refocus as they continued to try to find the all-important goal.
It didn’t happen, however, that the Uruguayan players and coaches angrily surrounded Siebert after the final whistle.
Cavani walked down the tunnel, but couldn’t resist a brief outburst of anger.

As he trotted into the dressing room, he took the opportunity to punch the VAR monitor at the end of the tunnel.
And the force of the blow knocked the monitor to the ground as Cavani walked away in disgust.
Portugal finished top of Group H, South Korea relegated Uruguay to second place and Ghana to bottom.
