INTER Milan beat Juventus 2-1 in the Italian Super Cup final thanks to Alexis Sanchez’s final goal in extra time.
Inter claimed their first win in the competition in 11 years before the team had won the title more times than anyone else.
The home crowd exploded with joy when Sanchez headed home from close range in the 120th minute, just at a time when it looked like the winner would be decided on penalties.
Weston McKennie put the Turin side ahead in the 25th minute but Juve’s joy didn’t last long.
Lautaro Martinez equalized from the penalty spot just 10 minutes later in an easy half, but the game became more difficult after the break.
Both Serie A giants scored until the end of time and the game went into extra time.
The Nerazzurri dominated on ball possession and scoring efforts, but penalties seemed inevitable as the clock ticked down.
But Alex Sandro’s disastrous mistake in his box proved that Juventus are undoing.

Federico Dimarco made a cross from the left and Sandro tried to let Giorgio Chiellini down.
However, former Manchester United player Matteo Darmian beat Chiellini to the ball with a crucial touch, helping Sanchez score against Mattia Perrin.
The former Arsenal and Man United star kicked the ball into the net and blew the roof off the San Siro.
This victory marks the Italian champions’ sixth time winning the Super Cup and their first since 2010.
