CHARLEROI, Pa. (KDKA) – Three people have been arrested following a major drug bust at a Washington County home.
Investigators say they received a tip after the owner of Marsh Tire in Charleroi called police on Friday. The owner says two packages of drug paraphernalia were sent to his shop. The packages were addressed to former employee John Beebe III, 47, who is the man whose home was searched by police.

“It’s a drug operation and a pretty big drug operation that’s been stopped,” Washington County District Attorney Jason Walsh said.
The District Attorney commended the work of his detectives, who on Saturday morning at the home on Twin Bridge Road in Fallowfield Township seized a large quantity of suspected fentanyl and heroin, packaging materials, numerous firearms and nearly $40,000 in cash.
“You’re talking about a quantity that would be thousands upon thousands of stamp bags of it,” Walsh said. “A small amount could kill you.”

Beebe was arrested along with Donald Franks (53) and Jobe Franks (26), father and son from Charleroi. Investigators say they were arrested for fugitives on pending drug orders, which were part of a previous investigation involving the District Attorney’s Drugs Task Force.
Neighbors said they saw police searching the house.
“They came out and drew guns and yelled, ‘Open the door,'” said neighbor Desiree Devore. “I was shocked because I have a 12-year-old.”
The prosecutor says the drug problem, particularly fentanyl, is a big problem not just in Washington County but nationwide. That’s why he says his team is doing everything they can to get the drugs off the streets.
“We are aggressive in enforcing drug laws and will continue to be aggressive in shutting down drug dealers,” Walsh said.

Walsh said people don’t realize that when they buy drugs like heroin or cocaine, they are actually dealing with fentanyl or a mixture containing fentanyl, which can lead to an overdose or death.
