Was a deputy killed in Wayne County, Illinois?

MISSOURI police arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting of a sheriff on I-64 in Wayne County Wednesday morning.
Sgt. Todd Ringley said there may now be two suspects in the shooting and that police are answering calls about a second suspect.
“One suspect is in custody and one suspect remains at a residence near Carlyle, IL. Police are investigating the scene,” Ringley said on Twitter.
Local news station, 5 On Your Side, said police identified the co-pilot as Sean Riley, who was answering a “driver assistance” call around 5am.
When police arrived on the scene, Riley was dead, but his team’s car was missing.
Riley’s body was taken to the Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office around 10 a.m. Wednesday and is expected to be shipped to Illinois.
The Wayne County Sherriff’s office released a statement on December 29 expressing their grief over Riley’s passing and saying, “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. of our beloved Deputy Sean Riley.”
The suspect also broke in and shot a victim in St. Peter’s QuikTrip around 7 a.m. Wednesday.
The man was taken to hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the shoulder.
