Warmer Thursday before the cold front passes into the weekend

After a few popular 40’s mornings, Thursday will kick off with a softer start and end with a warmer afternoon.
Look for highs going back to the low 80s for some areas under a combination of sun and clouds. A shower or two is possible for areas east of Collier County.
Going into Friday and into the weekend, we’ll keep an eye out for a cold front approaching.
There’s still an unusually large amount of uncertainty among computer models when it comes to the timing of this front, but for now, plan at least there’s a chance for some isolated rain at all. Friday and Saturday.
Something to watch out for when going on Friday and Saturday will also be the possibility of severe storms. While this will largely depend on the timing and location of this front – which is still in doubt due to model differences – the threat currently appears low. The Center for Hurricane Forecasting says the southern two-thirds of Southwest Florida are below a Category 1 out of 5 risk of severe storm. This is likely to be revised as the models get a better grasp of this system over the next 12-24 hours.
What is certain is that we will see cooler and drier air moving on Sunday. In fact, on Monday the low will be back into the 40s!
