Warhammer 40K’s Eldar for new models in 2022, no new codes mentioned

Workshop game is going strong after launch Warhammer 9th Edition 40K, was bound by a number very high army release. Now it’s back to Aeldari (also known as Eldar), a foundational faction that has gone largely unnoticed for over a decade.

The Eldars are an ancient and lithe race, known for their glassy and webway portal which they use to traverse the galaxy. Their primary frontline fighters are known as Guardians, and they are roughly equivalent to the general-purpose Royal Guards or Primaris Space Marines in their battlefield roles.

New multi-part plastic bodyguard announced on monday feels more like a subtle edit than a full remake legacy models. The silhouettes have a complementary feel to the older sets, meaning collectors won’t have much trouble integrating them into their existing armies.

Meanwhile, the poses are much more dynamic on their own – although not nearly as acrobatic as the ones shown in last year’s Drukhari release.

This isn’t the only new Eldar model announced during the holiday season. Over Christmas, Games Workshop previewed some spectacular new Asuryani Eldar, which will be bundled with some new Chaos Space Marines in the near future. Warhammer 40,000: Eldritch Omens boxed.

As is typical of Games Workshop, no pricing or pre-order information for these sets has been announced, but it looks like more Eldar news is on the way. According to the Warhammer Community website, fans should expect weekly updates in the near future in a new series called Preview link. Here’s hoping that a new codex, complete with point values ​​and modified unit properties for the 9th version, is also in development.
