Walmart Introduces New Ice Cream With a ‘Disgusting’ Flavor Change – We Tried It and Got ‘Nauseated’

A NEW ice cream flavor is coming exclusively to Walmart, but the flavor leaves a lot to be desired.

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream announced a limited time ranch dressing flavored ice cream.

The dressing company Hidden Valley provides the ranch taste.

The Van Leeuwen Hidden Valley Ranch is on sale exclusively at Walmart from March 20th to May 28th or while supplies last.

The new offering is one of seven new Van Leeuwen flavors only available at Walmart this spring:

• Sweet maple cornbread
• Blood Orange Chocolate Chips
• carrot cake
• Strawberry Shortcake
• Honey Graham Crackers
• Limoncello Cake

AN UNUSUAL TASTE

I got to try the new ranch flavor along with Sweet Maple Cornbread and Strawberry Shortcake.

While the last two were delicious delights, the Hidden Valley Ranch Ice Cream was just too bizarre to enjoy.

While I usually like Van Leeuwen Ice Cream and Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing, the two just don’t complement each other.

The onion, savory flavor of ranch dressing is an awkward combination with the cool, crunchy texture of ice cream.

And you usually enjoy small batches of ranch dressing topped with a chip or a piece of salad; Most don’t eat bowls of it.

After eating a few large bites, I felt the increasing nausea I expected when I ate blobs of ranch dressing.

To be fair, I hadn’t considered using the ice cream as a dip with any other snack, but I doubt I’d prefer it to a typical ranch dip.

I’m not opposed to adding other salty or savory flavors to an already sweet ice cream, but an ice cream that just tastes like ranch dressing just isn’t a treat.

The crispy chicken sandwich will be available in both deluxe and bacon ranch varieties.

McDonald’s will also be selling a new lemonade and Krispy Kream donuts at select locations.
