Gunna, whose real name is Sergio Kitchens, has been charged with conspiracy to violate the state’s RICO (Rocket Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) law.

He was released after accepting a plea deal.

Goodr, who has worked with the music star in the past, was “sad” at the decision to cancel the event.

A spokesperson told Fox5: “Gunna and the entire Goodr team were excited to brighten up the holidays for the 1,000 registered families.

“We recognize how much the promised gifts have meant to these families and we are working together to find an alternative solution.”

Gunna was sentenced to five years in prison as part of the deal.

He entered an Alford plea and maintains his innocence.

One of his five years is to be served in prison, but since he has already served time, he is released.

The remaining four years of his sentence have been suspended.

Gunna will be subject to special conditions that include 500 hours of community service.

But 350 hours out of 500 he has to talk to youngsters about the dangers of gangs.

After his release from prison, Gunna said: “While I have agreed to always be honest, I want to make it clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been questioned, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against a party in the case.”

In a statement after the sentencing, he added that he had “absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial in any way”.

However, as a condition of Gunna’s trial, he must testify if summoned, but he can invoke the Fifth Amendment.

Gunna was among more than two dozen music stars charged with crimes linked to alleged street gang Young Slime Life.

The organization has allegedly committed multiple murders, shootings, and auto thefts over the course of a decade.

Prosecutors have long claimed that the YSL has ties to the crime group Bloods.
