Walker Hayes Has Been Booked For ‘Dick Clark’s New Year Rockin’ Eve’

If it feels like Walker Hayes has been everywhere lately, that’s because he has. From being named CMT Artist of the Year to stellar acting Voice the final stage, it’s no surprise to see Hayes appear in even the most unexpected places. And soon, the hit “Fancy Like” will help us spread the new year.

Hayes has been booked as a performer for New Year’s Eve by Dick Clark’s Rocking ‘With Ryan Seacrest 2022. He will be on stage live from Los Angeles, and it’s a safe bet he’ll choose to sing the hit hit “Fancy Like”.

In addition to Hayes, the LA portion of the TV show will feature joint performances by AJR and Daisy the Great, Avril Lavigne and Travis Barker, Big Boi and Sleepy Brown, and Macklemore with Ryan Lewis and Windset. OneRepublic, Don Omar, French Montana, Mae Muller, Maneskin, Masked Wolf and Polo G will also participate. The LA section will be hosted by Ciara and D-Nice, who will play “Party DJ.”

On the other side of the country, Ryan Seacrest will host the east coast portion of Dick Clark’s Rocking’ New Year’s Eve special live from Times Square in New York City, featuring Liza Koshy, with Jessie James Decker as Powerball Reporter. Artists taking the stage in NYC include Karol G, Journey, Chloe and LL Cool J.

Billy Porter will be in charge of the celebration from New Orleans, as host and performer. New for this year is a party in Puerto Rico that Roselyn Sanchez will host, with Daddy Yankee performing.

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve with Ryan Seacrest – the ball falls in 2022 – will air live on ABC Friday, December 31 at 8 p.m. ET.

Hayes’ “Fancy Like” is essentially the “it” song of 2021, after achieving viral success on TikTok. It took #1 on country radio in November, and Hayes assures we’ll never know how grateful he is for the success. The party continues into 2022, when he will Launch Fancy Like Tour.
