Marvel fans will know that Lupita Nyong’o, who played Nakia, T’Challa’s love interest in “Black Panther”, will reprise her role in “Wakanda Forever” alongside Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Danai Gurira, Angela Bassett and Martin Freeman. Nakia is one of Wakanda’s “War Dogs” – their elite spies travel the world to provide intelligence to the secretive nation. Though it will be interesting to see how her role changes as Wakanda has opened up to the world after “Black Panther,” “Avengers: Infinity War,” and “Avengers: Endgame.”
Nakia will have a lot of work to do if Nyong’o’s recent training video is anything to go by. The star posted a video on Instagram Show off an intense workout punch with weights and a sweat. Marvel stars often have an active workout routine to help them become a top hero in front of the camera. Lupita Nyong’o’s practice implies that she will be the focus of “Wakanda Forever” – which makes sense after Chadwick Boseman’s passing.
The big question in the sequel is how will the MCU deal with the actor’s death? Many fans wondered if the studio would reprise the role, though some thought it would be disrespectful to the actor. Marvel Studios has confirmed that it won’t cast another actor in the role For the sequel, it’s clear that Boseman’s death will have a huge impact on the story. Nakia could be a worthy replacement for the Claw King. Maybe that’s why Lupita trains so hard?
