As missile attacks on Ukraine increased, An attack hit the famous Kyiv TV tower and left at least 5 people dead.

The explosion spread to the nearby site of the horrific Babylon Yar massacre, where the Nazis executed 33,771 Jews in just two days in September 1941.

Debris damaged the memorial to the atrocity and prompted a backlash from the Ukrainian people.

The fearsome force now advancing into their capital will almost certainly radiate to lay siege to the city in the coming days before charging through the settlements in one bloody final push.

But Heroic President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy still defies yesterday as he awaited the onslaught, declaring: “We will neutralize them all.”

Speaking from his bunker, he went on to deliver a touching appeal for support – and for his crowded nation to be on fast track for EU membership.

An interpreter can be heard trying to hold back tears as Mr Zelenskyy accuses Russia of state terrorism and war crimes.

And he said, “Prove that you’re with us, prove that you won’t let us go. Prove that you are truly European and then life will triumph over death and light will triumph over darkness.

“The EU will be much stronger with us. Without you, Ukraine would be alone.”

The former TV comic character was given a standing ovation as he continued: “We too are fighting to be equal members of Europe.

“I believe today we are showing people what we are. We have proven that, at a minimum, we are just like you.”

Meanwhile, Ukraine is facing a further onslaught from its northern neighbor Belarus after more harsh words from Putin’s puppet President, Aleksandr Lukashenko.

Just hours after he confirmed he would not go to war, his country’s parliament announced that the state was joining forces with Russia’s allies in Ukraine’s Chernihiv region.

The images also reveal helicopter units and ground forces deployed in southern Belarus, less than 20 miles north of the Ukrainian border.

Belarus has even given up on denuclearization – making way for a Russia’s ability to deploy nuclear weapons.

But the strong Ukrainian soldiers and the courageous reserve stood side by side freedom fighters drank a full range of Molotov cocktails last nightare waiting for their enemies.

Makeshift barricades made of tires, trucks, and crates appeared at key intersections, where the garrison dug through the night.

Russians entering the city will be greeted with a barrage of British bombs, bullets and NLAW anti-tank missiles, as well as banners proclaiming: “Russian soldiers, advance.”

It is reported that many Russian conscripts have been brainwashed to expect to be greeted with bouquets of flowers rather than bombs.

But as he maneuvered a barricade, Kyiv banker Viktor Rudnichenko told The Sun: “The only flowers they can get from us will be for their graves.”

Disappointed Putin, who was promised a new puppet government in Kyiv within five days by his complacent commanders, is said to have allowed a reckless attack to crush the resistance.

He was furious as Ukraine announced 5,710 Russian soldiers had been killed and 200 taken prisoner.

His enemies also announced that, as of yesterday morning, Russia had lost 29 aircraft, 29 helicopters, 198 tanks, 77 artillery systems, 7 air defense systems, 24 mobile missile launchers, 60 fuel tanks and two gunboats.

But the death toll in the carnage is rising, as officials report 352 people have died including 16 children.

An additional 2,040 civilians are believed to have been injured, including 45 children.

Nato Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg yesterday called on Russia to withdraw its forces.

“The Russian attack is completely unacceptable and it was carried out by Belarus,” he said.

“Russia must immediately stop the war, withdraw all its forces from Ukraine, and engage in goodwill in diplomatic efforts.”
