Vladimir Putin “uses three body doubles who underwent plastic surgery and a real one may not exist,” the Ukrainian spy chief claims

Head of Military Intelligence of UKRAINE has claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin used three look-alikes who underwent plastic surgery to resemble him.

Major General Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine’s military intelligence, claimed the body doubles were being used to cover up Putin’s loss of control of the Kremlin.

This proposal comes amid growing claims that Putin suffers from a range of diseases, including Parkinson’s and cancer.

In an interview with the Mail on Sunday, Budanov claimed Ukrainian intelligence services had spotted Putin doubles representing him on a number of “special occasions” in the past, but this had now become “common practice”.

“We know specifically about three people who keep appearing, but we don’t know how many there are,” said Budanov.

“They all had plastic surgery to look the same.”

He continued: “The only thing that gives her away is her height. It is visible in videos and pictures. Also gestures, body language and earlobes as they are unique to each person.”

Budanov asked, “The big question is, does the real Putin still exist?”

Ukraine’s military intelligence chief has not commented on whether he thinks Putin disappeared – for health reasons or after a coup in the Kremlin.

This came as Budanov claimed Russia was running out of guided missiles and said that if the Ukrainian army retakes the southern city of Kherson, the consequences for Putin and his cronies could be dramatic.

“Change is inevitable” in Moscow, he said.

Rumors of the 69-year-old Russian president’s ailing health have circulated for months, with close ally Nicolai Patrushev reportedly deputizing for Putin at his regular doctor’s appointments earlier this year.

At the time, Budanov claimed that Putin was replaced by a body double during a trip to Iran.

He told Ukrainian news channel 1+1 that the president appeared more assertive than usual as he opened talks with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
