Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un write to each other vowing to unite pariah nations against the ‘hostile’ West

VLADIMIR Putin has written to North Korean tyrant Kim Jong-Un and struck a pact to unite the pariah nations against the “enemy” West.

The worrying kinship has stoked fears among security agencies, who fear their alliance could have catastrophic consequences.

The war-hungry Putin penned a letter suggesting the pair are working to “expand the comprehensive and constructive bilateral relationship with joint efforts.”

He also assured the Supreme Leader that it would help “enhance the security and stability of the Korean peninsula” to win him over.

Kim recently attacked the new government in Korea’s southern counterpart, warning he could “crush” President Yoon Suk Yeol.

The distorted despot welcomed the renewal of Putin’s friendship, noting that the bond between their countries had been forged in World War II with the defeat of Japan.

He added that “strategic and tactical cooperation, support and solidarity” between the totalitarian states has reached a new level.

Kim said they are linked in their fight with “enemy forces” – a phrase commonly used to refer to the US and its Western allies.

According to state media outlet KCNA, Putin’s scarlet letter arrived in Pyongyang on the day North Korea was liberated.

The coalition of outcast nations comes as Russia’s bloody invasion of Ukraine continues, heightening already fragile tensions with the West.

North Korea was one of the few countries to officially recognize two Russian-backed separatist states in the east of the war-torn nation in July after Putin signed a decree declaring them independent.

In response, Ukraine severed all diplomatic ties with Pyongyang.

It has even been claimed that the Russian President, taking a leaf out of Kim’s book, intends to split Ukraine in half like North and South Korea.

And much like Putin, Kim is not afraid to talk about his stockpile of nuclear weapons to taunt his enemies.

The pair formed a bizarre union after they first met in 2019, knowing it would confuse Western leaders.

They’ve remained public friends over the years and have even engaged in similar publicity stunts — like both riding horses to promote a parallel hardman image.

Putin even awarded Kim a top war medal to mark the 75th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany in 2020.

Western officials are all too aware of the formidable duo they could form as the globe teeters on the brink of World War III.

But intelligence chiefs revealed that Putin’s panicked cronies are secretly reaching out to allied countries to try to stop his botched invasion.

Russia’s elite are increasingly despairing of the sanctions imposed on the country and are trying to negotiate peace, a senior Kremlin official has said.
