View fans slam Joy Behar for ‘incredibly rude’ behavior during live show

THE View fans have slammed host Joy Behar for her “incredibly rude” behavior during Tuesday’s live show.

She appeared to be asleep during Whoopi’s outro.

As The View came back from the final commercial break of the day, Whoopi thanked fans for watching.

“Welcome back. Before we go, we wanted to take a moment to pay our respects to yesterday’s fatal shootings in California and Illinois,” she said.

“You know there have been 39 mass shootings in the first month of 2023 and obviously and unfortunately it’s not going away and it’s one that we’re going to address again.”

Joy, 80, was heard saying, “God.”

Whoopi, 67, continued: “We’re glad you watched us. We are glad you came to us. We want you to have a great day, to take a little time to enjoy the view and to really take the time to enjoy the view.”

“And see you tomorrow.”

The presenter had a sad expression on her face as the camera panned out.

When the camera caught all the hosts, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines had sad expressions on their faces and clapped their hands in celebration.

However, Joy had her head down and appeared to be asleep or pretending to be asleep.

The 80-year-old could also have been on her cell phone.

She only lifted her head for the last 15 seconds or so.

A fan on Twitter called her and said: “Can’t you wait a minute for the show to end? Wtf have you ever given up your damn phone? @theview #TheView @JoyVBehar kinda sad.”

Joy is known for speaking her mind a lot on the show and doesn’t care what other people say about her.

Last week, she snapped “sue me” at live audiences after making an on-air blunder.

During Friday’s episode, Joy, 80, returned from a commercial break and corrected her mistake.

On Jan. 20, the host of The View waved her arms around and yelled at the top of her lungs, “Clarification!”

The ABC star continued, “Something I said in the last segment.

“It was the special prosecutor who is now the Republican politician in New Mexico, and not the current DA (district attorney).”

Shrugging, Joy addressed the audience: “I mess them up sometimes.

Despite her co-stars laughing, Ana Navarro, 51, interrupted and added: “Be careful!”

Joy rolled her eyes and said, “I know!”

Ana mentions, “They will!”

Joy defended herself: “You can’t! I corrected it,” before moving on to the next segment.

View fans also called out Joy when she called a guest on live TV a “rude” nickname.

The View hosts took time out last week to interview actress and Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth.

Kristin is rather short and petite, measuring only 1.20m which makes her quite short compared to the rest of the cast.

It seems that Joy had this in mind when speaking to the guest.

First, Joy made a comment early on during Kristin’s appearance on the show that the staff could “raise the seat a little” for her.

The hosts chatted with Kristin about a variety of topics before closing the segment with a big question.

“We heard you’re working on a new Broadway show,” a host finally told Kristin. “Can you tell us something about it?”

Kristin took a swipe before replying, “It’ll be fine.”

Then Joy commented, “Well we love having you. You are a little girl with a big voice and a big heart.”

While an innocuous comment encapsulated Kristin’s small frame and body with an incredible voice, some fans took offense at her remark.

A fan slammed Joy for remarking: “Little girl? No, Joy, she’s a grown woman. I didn’t pay any attention to Joy’s comment. #Theview.”

Another pointed out that it was probably because of Kristin’s voice: “Happy to call Kristen a little girl! It’s probably the voice! #theview”
