[VIDEO] ‘Killing Eve’ Season 4 Preview Interview Sandra Oh Jodie Comer

After years of hunting each other across the globe, New Year’s Eve KillingEve and Villanelle will be closer than ever in the final season.

TVLine caught up with stars Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer ahead of this Sunday’s Season 4 premiere (BBC America, 8/7c), and in the video above, Oh teases that Season 4 will begin with a “step” time jump” is larger than any previous season and finds Eve and Villanelle “in very different places.” Eve had “all these different skills” when Season 4 began, she added, and was “on a sort of one-way revenge mission.”

Villanelle, meanwhile, seems to have cleaned up her act and found God, if early pictures from Season 4 are any indication. “I think she’s really trying to prove something,” Comer noted, “and I think Eve is a huge part of that. She was the first to want to show what she did. ” But “I think there’s a side to her that’s inherently bad, and she just can’t get out. And she really had to deal with that at the start of the season. ”

But does this mean that a real romance between Eve and Villanelle, which has been building for three seasons, is finally over? As Oh sees it, “a proper romance always has to endure… that’s why it’s a romance. That’s why it doesn’t necessarily translate into a relationship. Which can be boring! ” Eve and Villanelle have always had a special connection, she added, “but it gets much richer” this season, “especially in the final episode.”

Eve and Villanelle’s explosive chemistry is really what separates them, she thinks, likening them to “two sparks that can hardly be in the same room.” But over the seasons, “they can be in each other’s orbits a little bit more… so I think you’ll see them in each other’s orbits the most this season.”
