Someone posted this on a billboard: Peacock limited series Angelynemain character Shameless alum Emmy Rossum as the infamous LA icon, coming out on Thursday, May 19, TVLine became aware, with all eight episodes dropped at once.

Streamers have also dropped a new teaser for the series about the mysterious woman, which you can check out above. In it, we see Rossum as Angelyne – complete with blonde locks, pink car and car neckline – as she says she can’t just tell you the story of her life: I am something that you have to experience.”

The official synopsis describes Angelyne as “the glow-in-the-dark space queen and original LA billboard icon…who infiltrated pop culture and rose to prominence in the 1980s when a Billboard series began popping up around LA featuring her character.” Along with Rossum, the cast included Martin Freeman (Fargo), Alex Karpovsky (Girls), Hamish Linklater (Soldiers), Charlie Rowe (Salvation), Lukas Gage (White Lotus), Michael Angarano (This is us), Molly Ephraim (The last man standing) and David Krumholtz (The Deuce).

She’s as if Marilyn Monroe stepped into the easy oven with ’80s punk Barbie, and a dose of new age spirituality. She is a forerunner, a hustler, a visionary, an original influencer, a living work of art. Here’s a little taste of the show. I hope you will love her magic. ”
