Venmo down updates — Thousands of users report issues with payment app as services ‘not working’

THOUSANDS of Venmo users are reporting problems with the app.
According to users via Downdetector, the services were “not working” and payments were not being made.
Reports peaked around 10:30 a.m. ET today, with most people complaining about issues with the app itself, as well as with payments and money transfers.
However, it appears that the issues have been resolved.
The US Sun reached out to Venmo for comment but did not receive a response.

One user posted a video about their ongoing issues with the Venmo app and wrote, “How do I fix this? It says I received my 28 for transactions but I can’t transfer it to my account.”
Someone replied: “Mines do this too, I got $30 but it says there is nothing in my account.”

The reports of problems on Downdetector have decreased significantly to around 400.
It appears to be resolved, although there is no official word from Venmo.

Some users even say that the app is “back” and functional.

The US Sun has reached out to Venmo for comment but has not yet received a response.
The company has also not released any official updates via social media.

Venmo users also say their balances are not updating in the app.
One person further said Down detector: “I sent Venmos to my wife and they don’t show up on her account. And the balance I had that I sent with hasn’t changed. But you can clearly see the transactions being sent.”
Another wrote: “My available balance has not been updated and I have received multiple payments in the last 2 days! It was not credited to my account. Should I ask if the customer can simply request a refund? I can’t get through in chat or phone.”
