Vasiliy Lomachenko ‘agrees to fight George Kambosos Jr in Australia’ in clear hope of undisputed clash with Devin Haney

LIGHTWEIGHT champion George Kambosos Jr is expected to have a match in June against Ukrainian superstar Vasiliy Lomachenko.
Australians currently hold four of the five main belts in lightweight and will defend his title at home in June.
And ESPN Ask for the former three-time champion Lomachenko34 years old, agreed to join the fight.
However Kambosos I have not been given the green light yet.
Marvel Stadium in Melbourne is already booked for June 5, but Kambosos, 28, has yet to decide on an opponent.
If he agrees to take on Lomachenko, it will give scupper hopes of an undisputed meeting with WBC champion Devin Haney.
Although American hardliner Haney is still said to be ‘in contention’ for the June 5 clash, Kambosos has yet to make a decision on who he will take the blows with.
Haney called for an undisputed title decider.

While another potential avenue for Kambosos is to approach Gervonta Davis.
Proposal report Kambosos can be ordered to fight Davis of the WBA in an attempt to merge their two titles together.
Kambosos scored the WBA, IBF, WBO and The Ring lightweight titles in November following a stunning win over Teofimo Lopez.
And he gave the ring Haney’s victory over Joseph Diaz Jr. in December amid rumors of an undisputed war.
Lomachenko meanwhile was also in action in December, edging past Richard Commey to keep his name in the hat for a title shot.
Initially, Lomachenko lost the belt now owned by Kambosos in October 2020 through a decisive unanimous point loss to Lopez.
But with Lomachenko now agreeing to play Kambosos, the two-time Olympic gold medalist could find a chance to reclaim the title he won for the first time in 2018.
