YOU ARE GOOD IN THE MORNING
Steve Bruce is said to have been recommended by his agent to his former club Manchester United.
The Mail claim the former United captain has been brought into the role on an interim basis following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s departure.
But Roberto Mancini is said to have IGNORE an approach from United.
The 56-year-old former Manchester City manager plans to focus on qualifying for the World Cup with Italy.
German newspaper BILD report that Mancini has refused to contact the Red Devils because he wants to fulfill his ‘duty’ to help Italy qualify for the World Cup.
Meanwhile, Lucien Favre’s name has also been promoted to potentially become an interim coach.
United hierarchy is said to have contacted the 64-year-old to discuss his interest in the post, according to The Telegraph.
And Brendan Rodgers has once again underlined his commitment to Leicester City.
He said: “I don’t consider it anything. To me, it’s not real.
“There’s always been buzz and speculation and I assume that will always be there until United appoints a full-time manager.
“I always say my commitment is here. My commitment is to this group of players, this team.”
In the end, Jesse Lingard remains determined to leave United despite Solskjaer’s departure.
The Mail insists the England star is ‘unmoved’ by the change of manager and still has no plans to open talks over a new contract.
