Tax refund checks still find their way to eligible Americans in the state of Indiana.
Additionally, eligible claimants can now combine the refund with aid funds available nationwide and receive an even heftier payout thanks to a bill signed by Gov. Eric Holcomb.
Earlier this month, Gov. Eric Holcomb signed a bill into law that would see $200 in payments.
This additional grant was awarded to Hoosiers during the last session of the General Assembly.
It comes just months after a $125 rebate was sent to Hoosiers.
Official estimates are that around 50,000 checks are printed and a total of 1.7 million payments are sent every day.
A check for $325 could be waiting for those filing as single.
Joint applicants can look forward to a payment of US$650.
Many received their first $125 tax refund via direct deposit.
Those who fall into this category should watch out for the $200 to hit their accounts the same way.
Residents who were not eligible for the first payment may receive the $200 payment if the Social Security benefits they received were not claimed by another dependent.
And to get the check, they have to file a tax return for 2022.
The state will also send out paper checks, but taxpayers have been warned of potential shortages.
The money aims to provide inflation relief to Indiana taxpayers, who have been hit hard by rising prices.
The public information officer and communications director for the Indiana State Auditor’s Office told WTHR that payments would not stop until Wednesday at the earliest.
