‘Upload’ Summary: Season 2 Premiere, Episode 1 – Ingrid Is [Spoiler]

What do you do when your ghost boyfriend ghosts you? In UploadNora season 2 premiere, Nora still hasn’t heard from Nathan, and ghosts go both waysbecause Nathan also accidentally gets the cold shoulder from Nora during the episode.
The half hour begins with Nora leaving Byron and hoping for another car with her father, who has taken her to Camp Ludd to keep her safe from those involved in Nathan’s death. The followers of the movement reject the technology – Nora places her phone on a tree branch in the forest – and eat actual food grown in the ground from heirloom seeds. But not everything about the group of basics is appealing: Nora isn’t a fan of Pastor Rob’s “patriarchal reverse horror show.” Community Leader Matteo (Royal pain‘Paulo Costanzo) assures her that not everyone is like Pastor Rob, who hates all of the digital afterlife. Nora settled into her new home, and just a few weeks later, she was the one giving the welcome speech to the new people and growing food alongside Matteo.
Meanwhile, Nathan was finally released from 2 Gig hours when Ingrid had finished redecorating their room (their bed was “the width of a king, but the length of a queen”, she said. explain) and call his angel. Aleesha shows up and explains that Nora has been an MIA for weeks, leaving Aleesha to juggle two sets of clients, as well as “an extremely difficult Karen,” aka Ingrid. (The flip side of having a high-priority client? Aleesha was promoted to Senior Manager and her own temperature.)
After being cornered by Luke, who was missing his BFF, Nathan fled to the schvitz bathhouse to track Nora’s phone and broke into her Nitely account in hopes of finding her. He spends hours every day looking, telling Ingrid he’s off to the gym.
Back at Camp Ludd, Matteo and Nora share a cute moment over a giant potato, and he asks if he’s feeling alone in something. Nora replied no, but someone was at home. While she’s at the post office, sending old-fashioned mail (“It’s an envelope. That’s how your ancestors got spam,” explained one of the Ludds to the noobs), Nora decided to use it. Avatar to test Nathan, who returns from his “schvitz” to Ingrid.
Ingrid admits that her uploads are impulsive and need control. She then asked Nathan if he would love another video. He admitted that he had feelings for someone, but it ended. Ingrid wasn’t entirely surprised by her confession. “You’re amazing. A lot of people will love you. Just not as much as me,” she said sincerely, while also promising that she could change and get his love back. Nathan kissed her as the avatar appeared. Nora’s virtual cat appears and the scene cuts to reveal that… Ingrid is wearing a bodysuit, Not died!
Nora sadly returns to Ludd’s camp and asks Matteo out for a drink, while Nathan gets up from his bed and Ingrid leaves Nora a voicemail. He tells her that he loves her too, and that he doesn’t deserve someone like her. Since she doesn’t answer his calls, he has to accept that she doesn’t want to talk to him. “Goodbye, angel,” he concluded as Nora got a virtual phone ping.
As for the murder mystery, a detective from the NYC Cybercrime Unit is looking into the death in an elevator from last season and he suspects it could be a murder.
