CBS NEWS star Elise Finch has died aged 51.
Popular CBS news anchor Elise Finch worked for WCBS for 16 years after starting out as the station’s weekend meteorologist, per CBS News.
The publication reported that Elise passed away at a local hospital in New York on Sunday at the age of 51.
“Elise was a gifted and accomplished professional who did her job with the utmost care,” the network wrote.
“She’s also been a wonderful ambassador in the community, including in her hometown of Mount Vernon.”
The statement continued, “Elise was above all an exceedingly loving and devoted mother to her daughter Grace and wife of Graig Henriques, a photojournalist at WCBS.”
Elise’s cause of death was not disclosed.
