Updates on David Crosby’s cause of death – Tributes pour in as the legendary Stills & Nash founding member dies aged 81

DAVID CROSBY, a singer-songwriter-guitarist who was a founding member of the Byrds and Crosby and Stills & Nash, has passed away.

The news was confirmed in a statement from Crosby’s wife to Variety: “It is with great sadness that our beloved David (Croz) Crosby has passed away after a long illness.

“He was lovingly surrounded by his wife and soulmate Jan and son Django.

“Although he is no longer here with us, his humanity and kind soul will continue to guide and inspire us.

“His legacy will live on through his legendary music. Peace, love and harmony to all who knew David and to those he touched. We will miss him very much.”

Those who followed his extremely active Twitter account, where he continued to tweet as late as Wednesday, were shocked to learn of his death.

At the time of his death he was 81 years old.
