Horror Mystery is a limited series and is based on a true story. It was adapted from a 2018 story of the same name written by Reeves Wideman from The Cut magazine. A month after the story was published, Netflix acquired the film rights. It was an intense bidding war involving six studios, but Netflix came out the winner after paying seven figures for a package of rights.

Viewers Currently in production, so everything is on track. With that being said, we can see this TV series sooner rather than later.

The Watcher release date

An official release date has yet to be announced by Netflix. Since the show is currently in production, we don’t expect an early release date announcement. However, we are expecting a 2022 release. Once filming is over, the film will likely take six to eight months in post-production. So we might be watching the show that was released on Netflix somewhere between August and October 2022.

Remember, these are just our predictions. Viewers may arrive earlier or later than the dates we anticipate. When Netflix announces the official release date, we’ll let you know!

As we mentioned earlier, the primary photography has already begun. Filming began on September 28, 2021, and is scheduled to end around February 2022.

Summary of The Watcher

Netflix hasn’t released an official synopsis yet, but we have an idea what the limited series will be like. Viewers follows a married couple whose dream home is halted when they receive terrifying letters and threats from a mysterious stalker named The Watcher.

What’s on Netflix provided us with the basic premise of the story, and we share it below:

Based on a true case, beginning in 2014, of the Broaddus family, who were stalked, threatened and eventually forced to sell their home and leave the town they loved, by a stalker. The mysterious only identified himself as a “Follower” in letters to Mr & Mrs Broaddus.

Episodes of The Watcher

The limited series will consist of seven episodes. Since horror-mystery is billed as a limited series, there will most likely be only one installment. However, there is a possibility of a second season if enough people see the series.
