Unusually cold temperatures continue into the weekend

ST. LOUIS – The weekend got off to a chilly start as temperatures dropped to single-digit lows on Saturday morning with bone-chilling winds.
Despite plenty of sunshine, Saturday will remain unusually cold with a peak in the mid-20s.
Temperatures will still be quite chilly Sunday morning but the lows will be about 10 degrees warmer than Saturday morning, dropping for teens.
There should be an improvement on Sunday as temperatures rise above freezing, above 30, to near 40. Those numbers are still slightly below normal for this time of year. There will be plenty of sunshine again but some clouds will return in the afternoon and evening as a cold front has approached the area from the North.
The cold front lasted until Sunday night. Monday is likely to be the coldest day of the work week with lows in the mid-30s. After Monday, the rest of the work week looks to be much better with most days in the 40s and dry conditions. This will have a major impact on the snow cover throughout the viewing area.
