PUTIN’s key ally has admitted that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is “dragging” amid a bloody final battle at the Azovstal Steel Plant in Mariupol.
Longtime Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko tried to defend the war in Ukraine in an interview – but expressed frustration with Putin’s strategy, which didn’t go according to plan.
The ruthless Lukashenko told AP Putin had no choice but to invade because Ukraine was “provoking Russia.”
But he added: “I haven’t delved deep enough into this issue to say whether it’s going according to plan, as the Russians say, or how I feel. I would like to emphasize again: I have the feeling that this operation has dragged on.”
It comes as a Ukrainian commander said Putin VIOLATED ceasefires in Mariupol and left wounded Ukrainian soldiers “to die in agony”.
Ukraine’s deputy commander has also accused Russian troops of preventing the evacuation of civilians from the Mariupol Steel Plant.
And Russian forces have reportedly practiced nuclear missile strikes and chemical attacks in terrifying war games on the NATO border.
