Ukraine news LIVE – NATO sends aid to millions in ‘cold and dark’ conditions as evil Putin shuts down power supplies

Don’t forget Ukraine this Christmas, says the country’s First Lady
People should not forget the war in Ukraine this Christmas, the country’s first lady said ahead of a speech to lawmakers on Tuesday.
Olena Zelenska is expected to address MPs and colleagues during her visit to London on Tuesday, days after Rishi Sunak made his first visit as prime minister to Kyiv to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, Ms Zelenska will urge the British public not to forget the ‘tragedy’ of the Russian invasion amid the festive season.
She also hailed Britain’s vocal support for Ukraine’s resistance efforts against Vladimir Putin’s forces as the country prepares for the winter.
She told the program: “We feel that [strong support] through the aid to our forcibly displaced persons, through the political and financial support and through the humanitarian aid we receive from the British.
“Ukrainians are very fed up with this war, but we have no choice. We fight for our lives. The British public has a choice. She can adjust to our tragedy and focus on her own important things in life.
“My message to the British is this: It is not just a war for our freedom and our lives.
“This is the war of opposing worldviews, the war of values. It is important that these are preserved. This is a fight for truth and human values. We hope that the approaching Christmas season will not make you forget our tragedy and get used to our suffering.”
