Today’s release of the SBU report revealed that Naumenko has been in charge of Russian forces in Kherson since March.

“According to his orders, unlawful arrests and torture of local residents, invasion of their homes and possession of property are taking place,” the report said.

Naumenko – whose call sign is “Alfa” according to the Ukrainian newspaper ZN – was also behind the dispersal of peaceful anti-Russian rallies in the occupied territories.

He is believed to have personally attended, ordering Russian troops to disperse crowds with stun grenades and tear gas.

The report also alleges that Russian troops, on his orders, kidnapped two Ukrainians and tortured them for several weeks.

The soulless colonel has since been charged with war crimes by Ukrainian authorities.

Naumenko is the deputy head of Putin’s prized Rosgwardia Regiment, which protects the Kremlin and other government buildings across Russia.

It is understood that the colonel gave orders to carry out illegal detentions of Ukrainian citizens and allowed his troops to loot and steal.

Putin appoints Mikhail Mitsintsev, known as the Butcher of Mariupol, as Russia’s deputy defense minister.

Former MP and army general Dmitry Bulgakov, 68, was abruptly dismissed and made the scapegoat for a series of battlefield failures in Ukraine.

The notorious Mizintsev, 59, has been sanctioned by Britain for his role in the horrific Blitzkrieg bombing of the Ukrainian city of Mariupol in May.

His promotion – welcomed by pro-war Moscow – is seen as a signal of an uncompromising new strategy for Putin after repeated military setbacks and humiliations in Ukraine.
