My neighbor ignores our storm damaged fence

FENCES across the country have been brought down by recent inclement weather and many homeowners are wondering what to do next.

Fence arguments are far from uncommon at the best of times, but when Storms Dudley, Eunice and Franklin arrive in quick succession, neighborly talks could become strained.

A homeowner, however, has almost the opposite problem — he can’t even reach his neighbor to fix a fallen fence.

Posting on Reddit, they explained how, like thousands of others, a fence with a neighbor had fallen between them because of the strong winds.

The efficient neighbor who wanted to repair the damage could not reach the owner of the neighboring house.

They said, “The property is owned by a landlord who doesn’t respond to emails/letters.”

This is not only annoying but also worrying since the tenants of the neighboring property have a dog.

The animal now has easy access to both gardens and the poster, who shared the dilemma and was looking for advice on what to do next, is not happy about it with his young children.
