Brits’ favorite thing about summer is not wearing a COAT

Top things to do in summer include a visit to the sea, a picnic – and not having to take a coat with you everywhere.

A study of 2,000 adults revealed the top 50 things Britons are most looking forward to as the warm season approaches.

It also found that more than three quarters think that the sunny season has a positive effect on their mood and makes them feel happy (48 percent), relaxed (44 percent) and healthy (36 percent).

Almost two-thirds believe the weather helps add a little sparkle to their everyday lives, and three-quarters said everyone is happier in the summer.

The study also found that nearly two-thirds said the majority of their socializing takes place outdoors during the summer, with people expecting to attend an average of five picnics and five barbecues this year.

The most popular places to eat in summer include dining in the garden (41 percent) and picnics in parks (29 percent).

Another 72 percent of those surveyed via OnePoll even said that summer makes the most mundane tasks fun.
