UK is set to Hotter than Costa Brava as 16 degrees Celsius will last through the weekend
UK SET for hot and dry weather in the coming days and over the weekend as temperatures soar to 16°C.
It was still cold ahead to begin with and some sporadic rain but the high pressure swept over great, but looking further, it could have been a hot spring.
Weather forecaster Jim Dale has reported it could reach 28°C by mid-April.
This week, BBC Weather’s Tomasz Schafernaker says it will be sunny and dry.
“In the south where there is a slight breeze, the temperature will be around mid-teens. Then on Thursday and Friday a high pressure formed itself across the UK, in fact a large high pressure spreading from Eastern Europe Mr. Schafernaker said.
“You can see the winds blowing around in the highlands here. The northern and western parts of the country are right in the middle of that highland, where the weather will be the sunniest, windiest and therefore the highest temperatures will be.” about 15C or 16C.
“And that high pressure is expected to last through Friday, Saturday and into Sunday, although it will be mild at times.”

The clock will change next week
Twice a year, we move the clock back – once forward and once back.
Many people are attracted to the shift of the clock, where we ‘gain’ an hour or ‘lose’ an hour.
This year, at 1am on March 27th, the clocks will turn forward and we will officially use BST (British Summer Time).
It is not clear whether former US president Benjamin Franklin or British builder, William Willett was the one who had the original idea of time change as we know it.
Willett created a pamphlet in 1907 called The waste of daylight where he outlines how it will work and that we will have more daylight in Spring and Summer and it will be reversed in the Fall.

The rain will stop this weekend
Rain is expected to dissipate on Thursday as a warm front moves up from the South, bringing bursts of sunshine and temperatures of 14-15°C.
Friday will start with chilly weather but will be a dry day across the UK as temperatures rise yet again to 16C and possibly 17C in the south-east.
