UFC looks early fall for Conor McGregor return reveals Dana White

CONOR MCGREGOR is likely to return to the octagon in early fall. Dana White has told SunSport – provided the Irishman’s recovery from his horrific leg fracture is planned.
The UFC poster boy is in the final stages of recovering from the bizarre injury he sustained in a three-way fight with Dustin Poirier last July.

McGregor, 33, recently set his sights on a return bout in the summer, although UFC president White believes fall is a more realistic timeline for his return.
The veteran promoter told SunSport on Tuesday night: “We’re looking at early fall, if things go right.”
The fall timeline for McGregor’s return depends on having the biggest star in MMA history cleared to resume full-blown training.
White added: “If his leg heals and he’s eligible to actually start training, it’s likely to fall soon.”
Last month, former two-division champion McGregor revealed that doctors had pushed back his plans to return to boxing practice.
But the Irishman has hinted that things are back on track after a recent check-up with the doctor.
Just days after he shared a video of himself hitting a heavy electric bag, Dublin’s pride wrote: “Great team of doctors today!
“Everything is back [is] on schedule! Thank you all for your love and support, stay ready. “

Fan favorite McGregor is looking forward to playing again this year but refuses to rush back into action until he’s fully recovered.
He said: “I have to take it day by day. In April, they said I would be back playing, turning and back.
“I was told I could box a few months back and all of a sudden, I couldn’t box.
“So I just take it day by day, there’s no rush. I’m in a great place mentally.
“Physically, I feel strong, I feel energetic. I’m always eager to join and fight, so that’s why. [I’ll] Just do it day by day and it will happen.
“It will happen when God wants it to happen.”
McGregor ventured to the octagon twice last year, locking horns with former interim lightweight champion Poirier on both occasions.
Mystic Mac suffered consecutive defeats to The Diamond, losing their Fight Island rematch via TKO in the second round and their Las Vegas shootout over the doctor in the first round.
